ZERAH

HUSBAND:
ZERAH. (Zara-Matt.1:3)(Zarah)(Tarah-S9) (Zeus of Greek Mythology). [CHART A1][CHART A5].
Born (about 1738 B.C.-S6) in Hebron, Canaan, Palestine; son of JUDAH and TAMAR. (Gen. 38:30). Zerah was the twin of Perez (Perets); when Zerah stuck his hand out, the midwife tied a bright red string around it, then Perez came out fully, and then Zerah, who was named for the brightness of the string.

Zerah married Electra (in 1715 B.C. in Rameses, Goshen, Egypt-S6). {S9}.

Josh. 7: 1, 18, 24 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the baccursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. 18 And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

He died (about 1638 B.C.-S6), in Rameses, Goshen, Egypt.

CHILDREN of ZERAH
  1. DARDANUS. Founder of Troy. (DARDA, DARDANUS BENZERAH), King of (Acadia) Troy Also King of DARDANIA was born (about 1710 B.C.-S6) in Rameses, Goshen, Egypt and died (about 1610 B.C.-S6) in (Rameses, Goshen, Egypt-s?)(probably in the city of Dardanus which he founded). Called a pearl of wisdom, one of the four who were noted for their wisdom, but whom Solomon excelled. He married BATES (Bateia), Princess of Troy. According to legend, during the reign of Teucer, DARDANUS drifted from the island of Samothrace in the Aegean to the Troad, following a great deluge in the Mediterranean area. After he arrived in the Troad, Dardanus received a grant of land from Teucer and married his daughter Batea, shortly thereafter founding the city of DARDANIA at the foot of MOUNT IDA. On the death of Teucer, Dardanus succeeded him as king, and called the whole land DARDANIA.
