(Myddle) John WRIGHT

HUSBAND:
[F17984]. (Myddle) John WRIGHT (1522-1558)
Born in 1522; second son born of (Sir )John WRIGHT [F35968].
He is called "Myddle John" to differentiate him from his two brothers who were also named John. The family of (Myddle) John Wright inherited Wrightsbridge Manor and farm, as well as properties in Havering and Navestock from Sir John Wright. This family made its home initially at Wrightsbridge Manor and later in the Havering area (Romford). Their church was St. Peters in South Weald Parish. They were decidedly Protestant in outlook, as opposed to St. Nicholas Church in Kelvedon Hatch (located at the time on the Kelvedon Hall estate grounds) and the other Wrights who were members of that congretation and who were largely Catholic. The South Weald parish area is located just northwest of the modern town of Brentwood, Co. Essex and is southwest of Kelvedon Hatch by some 9 miles.

He married the widow Alice (Avis) ROOKE (RUCKE) WOOD.

He died in 1558.
