George William Washington WILLIAMS

HUSBAND:
[F60]. George William Washington WILLIAMS. [PC W1].
Born 18 January 1845 at Madison Island, Hancock County, Illinois; son of William Washington WILLIAMS [F120] and Elizabeth Ann BURKETT [F121].

He was baptized in SEP 1854. He was endowed and was married (sealed) to Lydia Powell FERRIN (S4) [F61] on 13 SEP 1869 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.

He worked as a brick mason. They lived for a time at Toquerville, Washington County, Utah {S4}. In 1879 they were living in Willard, Box Elder County, Utah. {S4}. In 1880 they left Willard and travelled by team to Taylor, near Snowflake, Arizona; a distance of about 1200 miles. (S4). In 1884 they settled at Luna, New Mexico, but crop failures by frost forced them to leave. (S4). They soon moved to Pima, Graham County, Arizona in the Gila Valley. There he engaged in the brick and lime making business. (S4).

He died 10 July 1928 at Compton, Los Angeles County, California; and was buried 14 JUL 1928 in the Pima Cemetery at Pima, Graham County, Arizona.

Born 8 (18) MAR 1852 at Indiantown, Pottawatomie County, Iowa; daughter of Samuel FERRIN [F122] and Sally Clotilda POWELL [F123].

She was baptized in 1864. She was endowed and was sealed (married) on 13 SEP 1869 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah to George William Washington WILLIAMS [F60]. They lived for a time at Toquerville, Washington County, Utah. (S4).

In 1880 they left Willard and traveled by wagon to Taylor, near Snowflake, Arizona; a distance of about 1200 miles. (S4). In 1884 they settled at Luna, New Mexico, but crop failures from frost forced them to leave. (S4).

They soon moved to Pima, Graham County, Arizona in the Gila Valley. (S4).

She died on 15 January 1901 at Pima, Graham County, Arizona; and was buried 17 January 1901 in the Pima Cemetery at Pima, Graham County, Arizona.

  1. [F30]. George William WILLIAMS. [PC C1]. Born 9 January 1871 at Toquerville, Washington County, Utah. He was baptized in 1879. He married Harriet THURSTON [F31] on 30 June 1889. He died 3 April 1913 at St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona.
  2. Lydia Elizabeth WILLIAMS. Born 2 OCT 1872 at Eden City, Weber County, Utah. She was baptized in 1880. She married (1) Franklin John DROLLINGER on 10 AUG 1892 at Pima, Arizona. She married (2) Stanley Birt DROLLINGER, brother to her first husband, on 5 JUN 1903. She died 29 JUL 1952.
  3. Samuel Orvil (Arville) WILLIAMS. Born 14 MAR 1874 at Eden City, Weber County, Utah. He was baptized in 1882. He married (1) Helen Viola ROGERS on 14 FEB 1895 at Pima, Arizona. He married (2) ?. He died 16 OCT 1952.
  4. Sally Clotilda WILLIAMS. Born 28 MAY 1876 at Toquerville, Washington County, Utah. She died 22 JAN 1878.
  5. Heber Edmund WILLIAMS. Born 31 AUG 1879 at Willard, Box Elder County, Utah. He married Emma ROGERS on 27 JUN 1901. He died 11 JUL 1950.
  6. Josiah WILLIAMS. Born 19 MAR 1882 at Taylor, Navajo County, Arizona. He was baptized 5 APR 1891. He married Alice Katherine HOMSLEY on 10 or 13 AUG 1902. He died 23 JUN 1953.
  7. Sarah Jane WILLIAMS. Born 19 MAY 1884 at Heber City or Luna, Catron County, New Mexico. She married Edmund M. HART on 10 DEC 1903.
  8. Geneva WILLIAMS. Born 29 JAN 1887 at Pima, Graham County, Arizona. She married John Rufus SMITH on 2 NOV 1909.
