Since his christening or marriage records are not found in Barnstaple, he and his wife probably were born and married elsewhere, and moved to Barnstaple about the time they were married. Since there were other Tinckecombe's in Ashburton, where Ephraim is said to have been born, it is possible that he came from that vicinity.
The name TINCKECOMBE, TINCOMBE, TINKHAM comes from the town of Teigncombe, near Gidlegh, which is about 28 miles south-south-east of Barnstaple.
He married Katherine [F15305].
He died of the plague, and was buried 10 MAR 1604-5 at Barnstaple, Devonshire, England.

- [F7652]. John TINKECOMBE. [PC T4-26]. He was christened on 30 JUL 1591 at Barnstaple, Devonshire, England. He married (1) Martha BEARE [F7653] on 30 NOV 1611. He married (2) Mary WITTES on 19 SEP 1629 at Barnstaple, Devonshire, England. He died 3 months later, and was buried on 17 DEC 1629 at Barnstaple, Devonshire, England.
- Thomas TINCKECOMBE. He was christened on 21 MAR 1593-4 at Barnstaple, Devonshire, England.
