Born about 1708 (1698-99) in Henrico County, Virginia, son of Bartholomew STOVALL [F800] and Ann BURTON [F801]. He was of Henrico County, Virginia. He married Mary HUGHES [F401] about 1730. In 1774, John Stovall (in Granville Co., NC) sells his interest in his fathers original land patent of 1732 of Cumberland County, Virginia. He died between AUG and OCT of 1777 in Powhatan County, Virginia.

She was of Goochland County, Virginia; daughter of Mr. HUGHES [F802] and Sarah [F803]. She married Bartholomew STOVALL II [F400] about 1730.
CHILDREN of Bartholomew STOVALL II [F400] and Mary HUGHES [F401]:
- 1. Ann STOVALL. Born about 1730. She married GEDDY (?).
- 2. Elizabeth STOVALL. Born about 1732. She married GEDDY (?).
- 3. [F200]. Bartholomew STOVALL III. Born about 1733 (1734) in Goochland County, Virginia. He married Sally BRACKETT [F201]. He died in 1796.
- 4. John STOVALL. Born about 1736.
- 5. Mary STOVALL. Born about 1738. She married CHANDLER.
