Born about 1605-1607 at (Cabersham-S1)(Gonsham-S1), Oxfordshire, England. {S1}.

Lived at Caversham in County of Oxford, but Drake in Genealogy Reg. XIV. 335 reads the name of the Parish Gonsham. {S2}.

He settled in Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts in 1640, where he was a founder of the town on 18 May 1642.

He married Elizabeth PARKER [F15705], probably in England. {S2}.

He died on 11 APRIL 1662 at Andover, Massachusetts. {S2}.

Born about 1612-1613. She married John STEVENS [F15704]. She died on 1 May 1694. {S2}.

CHILDREN of John STEVENS [F15704] and Elizabeth PARKER [F15705]:
  1. [F7852]. (Lieutenant) John STEVENS. Born on 20 June 1639 at Newbury, Massachusetts. He married (1) Hannah BARNARD [F7853], daughter of Robert Bernard, on 13 June 1662 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts. She died 13 MAR 1674 at Andover. He married (2) Esther BARKER, daughter of Richard Barker, on 10 August 1676. {S1, S2}. He died on 4 March 1688-89 at Casco Bay, Cumberland County, Maine. Esther died on 25 June 1713 at Andover, Massachusetts.
  2. Timothy STEVENS. Born on 22 September 1641 in Andover, Massachusetts.
  3. (Deacon) Joseph STEVENS. Born on 15 May 1654 in Andover, Massachusetts. He married Mary INGALLS, probably daughter of Henry Ingalls, on 28 MAY 1679 at Andover. He died on 25 FEB 1742-1743 at 89, at Andover.
  4. (Captain) Benjamin STEVENS. Born on 24 June 1656 in Andover, Massachusetts. Intentions were filed on 3 SEP 1715 at Andover, for marriage to Mrs. Susanne Chickering (of Bradford). He was a magistrate. He died on 8 January 1729-1730 at Andover at 74 years of age, without male issue.
  5. Nathan STEVENS. Born about 1664 in Andover, Massachusetts. He married Elizabeth ABBOTT on 24 October 1692 at Andover. He died on 25 SEP 1740 at Andover, at age 76.
  6. Ephraim STEVENS. Born in Andover, Massachusetts. He married Sarah ABBOT, dau. of George Abbott, on 11 October 1680. Sarah died on 28 June 1711. He died on 26 June 1718.
  7. Mary STEVENS. She married John Parker.
  8. Erasmus STEVENS. Born in Andover, Massachusetts. He married Elizabeth Clarke, on Boston tax tolls 1674.

Born about 1612-1613. She married John STEVENS [F15704]. She died on 1 May 1694.

CHILDREN of John STEVENS [F15704] and Esther BARKER:
  1. Samuel STEVENS. Born on 29 May 1677 at Andover, MA. He married Elizabeth BARKER, daughter of William BARKER and Mary DIX [was Mary married previously?], on 15 May 1707 at Andover, MA. Samuel and Elizabeth were first cousins. His father and her mother were siblings. Samuel died at Andover, MA, on 30 Jan 1717-1718.
