Lourens (Lawrence) KNICKERBOCKER
HUSBAND:
[F1998]. Lourens (Lawrence) KNICKERBOCKER.
Born 3 MAY 1681 at Fort Orange (Albany), Albany County, New York; son of Harman Jansz KNICKERBOCKER [F3996] and Lysbeth (Elizabeth) Janse Van De BOGERT (BOGART) [F3997].
He married Marijke DYCKMAN [F1999] in 1707 at Albany, Albany County, New York. They moved to Red Hook Landing (now Tivoli), New York in 1750 or 1751, which lies on the east side of the Hudson River.
He was also one of the founders and builders of the Old Dutch Reformed Red Church at Tivoli, which was built in 1751. He and his wife were taken into the church by certificate on 5 OCT 1766 by Reverend Casper Fryenmost. [How could that be when he died 3 years earlier?].
Lourens was a member of the military company organized and under review at Oak Hill, Clavereck, New York. He died 20 DEC 1763 at Red Hook (Tivoli), Dutchess County, New York, age 82 years, and was buried there.

Born 1688 in Dutchess County, New York; daughter of Johannes DYCKMAN, Jr. [F3998] and Jannetje VIELE [F3999].
She married in 1707 at Albany, Albany County, New York Lourens KNICKERBOCKER [F1998].
She died 20 SEP 1766 at Red Hook (now Tivoli), Dutchess County, New York and was buried there.
CHILDREN of Lourens KNICKERBOCKER [F1998] and Marijke DYCKMAN [F1999]:
- John KNICKERBOCKER. Born in 1710. Married (1) in 1732 Jackomint FREER, dau. of Abraham FREER and Aeche Willens TITSOORT. He married (2) 22 FEB 1751 at Sharon, Connecticut to Jemima OWEN. He died 10 NOV 1786. Buried at Lime Rock, Connecticut, said to be the first burial in the cemetery.
- Pieter KNICKERBOCKER. Born 1711. Married 17 SEP 1742 at Kingston, New York to Margory BEN, dau. of Hugo BEN and Elisabeth SHCUTT. They lived at one time near Mount Ross, New York.
- Benjamin KNICKERBOCKER. Born 1712. Married about 1732 to Allitta HOLLENBECK. They were taken in on certificate 5 OCT 1766 at the Old Red Dutch Reformed Church at Tivoli, New York.
- Catharine KNICKERBOCKER. Born 1715 at Germantown, New York. Married William (Jans) Van ALSTYNE (see New York Record, Vol.39:39.).. She was baptized 19 OCT 1731 at Germantown, New York. Died 22 MAY 1802 at North East, New York. Buried in a small burying ground on the farm bought from the Hoffmans.
- Cornelius KNICKERBOCKER. Born 1717. Married Eleanora BEN, dau. of Hugo BEN and Elizabeth SCHUTT.
- Harmon KNICKERBOCKER. Born in 1719. Married (1) in 1737 to Katrina DUYTCHER, dau. of Rulof DUYTCHER and Jannetje BRESSIE. Married (2) Rebecca WANDELAIR. Died 19 AUG 1805, age 93 years. Buried in family cemetery on the Belden farm between Wassic and Dover, New York.
- Jannetje KNICKERBOCKER. Born 5 NOV 1721. Married 27 DEC 1743 to Silas BELDIN (BELDEN). Died 18 MAR 1799.
- [F999]. Maritjen KNICKERBOCKER. Born in 1727 at Linlithgo, Columbia County, New York. She married 24 MAY 1748 at Saulsbury, Connecticut Ruloff WHITE [F998].
- Elizabeth KNICKERBOCKER. Married Gabriel DUTCHER. She died 23 APR 1793 at Dover Plains, New York.
