Henry KEMBALL

HUSBAND:
[F4550]. Henry KEMBALL (Henry always signed his name KEMBALL. It was only the later generations that changed it to KIMBALL-S1).
Born about 1600 at Laeford (Lawford), Essex, England, son of Richard KEMBALL [F9100]..

Henry, the emigrant, may have been the Henry mentioned in the will of Richard KEMBALL. This is, however, a matter of conjecture. We do know, however, that Henry Kemball of Mistley singleman and Susan Cutting widow of the neighboring parish of Great Bromley were married on 27 NOV 1628, at Great Bromley, Sussex, England.

Henry Kimball and Susanna Stone, with at least daughter Elizabeth and her son Richard Cutting, were on the passenger list of the ship Elizabeth on 30 April 1634 out of Ipswich, England. They settled in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Henry Kemball died in 1648. His inventory is dated July 22, 1648. His homestead in Watertown was situated near the corner of what are now Belmont and Common streets. He also owned land in other parts of the town.
