JACOB

HUSBAND:
JACOB. [CHART A1].
Born in (1886 B.C.)(1892 B.C.-S6) in Haran, Padan-aram; son of ISAAC.

He is identified with Cronos and Saturn of Crete by Sanchoniatha, an ancient Phonecian author, who writes of "Kronos, whom the Phonecians called Israel."

Jacob married Leah. Leah was born 1829 BC in Haran, , Padan-aram. She died 1745 BC in Hebron, Canaan, Palestine.

JACOB/ISREAL King of GOSHEN. He married LEAH BINTLABAN 1798 B.C. in Harah, Padan-Aram, Egypt. (S6).

In exchange for a bowl of lentil soup, Jacob obtained his twin brother Esau's birthright and, with his mother's help, received the blessing that the dying Isaac had intended for his older son. Esau became so enraged that Jacob fled to his uncle, Laban, in Paddan-aram. On his way, at Bethel, he had a vision of angels ascending and descending the ladder to heaven. (S6).

After 20 years serving Laban, Jacob started back to his native land with his two wives, Leah and Rachel, and his many sons-the eponymous ancestors of the 12 tribes of Israel. (S6).

On the banks of the Jabbok, Jacob wrestled with an angel, received the name of Isreal, and reconciled with Esau the next day. (S6).

Later, Jacob migrated to Egypt, where he was reunited with his son Joseph. Jacob died there, but his sons buried him in the family plot at Machpelah. (S6).

Note:1st wife of Jacob, thru a trick played by her father Laban. who passed her off as his daughter Rachel: being veiled, the mistake was not discorvered till after the marriage had taken place ( Gen.29.) According to tradition the eldest had to marry first. Rachel did become Jacob's 2nd wife and had 2 boys, Joseph and Benjamin, Gen 19-31. !Ref Mat: KJV-Holy Bible, Gen-22:22,23
Jacob was 91 and begat Joseph.

He lived 147 years. Died (in 1739 B.C.)(1745 B.C.-S6) in Rameses, Goshen, Egypt; and is buried in cave of Machpelah near Mamre in the field of Ephrom.
