  1. Timothy HATHERLY. He was of Barnstable, Devonshire, England. He became a merchant in London. He moved to New England and became a founder of Scituate, Massachusetts. He deeded land in Scituate to his sister Eglin.
  2. [F16069]. Eglin HATHERLYBorn about 1591-1592. She married (1) Mr. DOWNE. She married (2) Jeffry HANFORD [F16068] on 31 MAR 1611 at Fremington, Devonshire, England. They embarked on 10 APR 1635 on the ship Planter, Mr. Trarice, Master; bound for New England with daughters Margaret, age 16, and Elizabeth, age 141. On 30 AUG 1637 the will of her mother was proved at Barnstable, Devonshire, England; from which she received a bequest. She also received a deed from her brother, Timothy, for "50 acres of land in Scituate on the North side of Stony Brook, the 3 lot from the Brook, bounded on the East with the common path which leads from the Brook to the harbor mouth, on the South by land of Richard Sillis, West with common drift path, North by land of Gavin White."
