Born in 1588 or 1589 at Scrooby, near Dunham on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England; son of Thomas DUNHAM [F14856] and Jane BROMLEY [F14857].
He married (1) Susanna KENNEY/KENO [F7429] on 17 OCT 1619 at Leyden, Holland. (S1?).
He married (2) Abigail BALLIOU on 22 OCT 1622 at Leyden, Holland. (S2). The marriage date 17 Oct 1622 was corrected by lindsay Dunham, Sep 1996, to 22 Oct 1622, citing "Leyden Documents Relating to the Pilgrim Fathers published in Leyden by E.J.Brill Ltd in 1920 with photocopies & transcriptions of original documents. Thomas Bailliou (or Barlow) was present. Abigail's sister Anne was married in Leyden 15 June 1624 and Abigail Dunham was present. (S2).
He arrived in Plymouth in 1632. (S2).
He was a Deacon.
He died (1-S?)(2-S2) MAR 1668 or 1669 at (Plymouth, Plymouth County)(Eastham, Barnstable County-S2), Massachusetts.
WIFE (1):
[F7429]. Susanna KENNEY (KENO-S2).
She married John DUNHAM, Sr. [F7428] on 17 OCT 1619. She died before 22 OCT 1622, probably in Holland. She could have died in childbirth with son John.
CHILD of John DUNHAM Sr. [F7428] and Susanna KENNEY/KENO [F7429]:
- [F3714]. John DUNHAM, Jr.. Born about 1620, probably at Leyden, Holland. He married Mary in 1641. He died 6 APR 1692 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. They had children Mary (ABT 1642-19 DEC 1715) and Eleazer.

Abigail BALLIOU. (BARLOW)
Born in Holland; daughter of Thomas BALLIOU and Anna AIME. She married John DUNHAM on 22 OCT 1622 in Leyden, Holland. This marriage date was first given as 17 Oct 1622; but was corrected by lindsay Dunham to 22 Oct 1622, citing "Leyden Documents Relating to the Pilgrim Fathers published in Leyden by E.J.Brill Ltd in 1920 with photocopies & transcriptions of original documents. Thomas Bailliou (or Barlow) was present. Abigail's sister Anne was married in Leyden 15 June 1624 and Abigail Dunham was present. She died in 1669 on Marthas Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts

- Abigail DUNHAM. Born about 1626. She married Stephen WOOD (ATWOOD) on 16 NOV 1644 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. She died 17 AUG 1684.
- Persis DUNHAM. Born in 1635. She married Jonathan SHAW in 1683 at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.
- Jonathan DUNHAM. Born in 1636. He married Mary DELANO on 29 NOV 1655 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He died 18 DEC 1717.
