John COLQUHOUN
HUSBAND:
[F141312]. Sir John (Iain) COLQUHOUN. Eleventh Lord of Colquhoun and Thirteenth Lord of Luss.
Born in (1475-S3)(1493) in Dunbartoshire, Scotland; son of Humphrey COLQUHOUN [F282624] and Helen ERSKINE [F282625]. He received the honour of knighthood from King James IV, and obtained a charter under the great seal of sundry lands and baronies in Dumbartonshire, dated 4th December 1506.
He had three children, Patrick, Adam, and Margaret who were born before his marriage, so possibly illegitimate.
He married (1) Elizabeth Margaret STUART (Stewart). On 11th July 1526 he and his son Patrick Colquhoun received a respite for assisting John, Earl of Lennox in treasonably besieging, taking, and holding the Castle of Dumbarton in 1514. He married (2) Margaret Cunningham. He died (on 15 AUG 1536)(before 16 AUG 1536)(in 1536-S3)(in 1539) in Dunbartonshire, Scotland.

Born in 1477; daughter of John, Lord Darnley, [F282626], afterwards first Earl of Lennox, by his wife, Margaret, daughter of Alexander, second Lord Montgomerie.

- (Rev) John COLQUHOUN. Born in 1511. He was Canon of Glasgow and Rector of Stobs. He was elected Rector of Glasgow University in 1553. He died in 1570.

- Walter COLQUHOUN. Born about 1518 in Scotland.
- Marjorie COLQUHOUN. Born about 1520, Glenurchy, Scotland. Marjorie married Sir-Duncan Campbell. (Sir-Duncan Campbell was born in Glenurchy, Scotland and died in Glenurchy, Scotland.). Died: Glenurchy, Scotland.
