Born (about 1723-S7)(in 1750) in Wuerttemberg, Germany; possibly the son of (Israel?) BURKETT [F1936]..
He married Catherine [F969] (S6) in 1770. He married Anna Maria BARBARA.(S5,S7) about 1745. [Check these carefully. We have always had Catherine as his wife. Was he married twice, or is one a mistake?]
Christened in 1776. [Was the christening in preparation to emigrate?]
He emigrated to America (during the Revolutionary War-S4)(about 1747-1748)(in 1751 in the ship Edinburgh from Rotterdam, Captain James Russell). He settled in District Township, Berks Township, Pennsylvania.
He crossed the Alleghenys in 1776. He opened a sawmill Quemahonig. He died (about 1785)(in 1805-S7) in Stony Creek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. (S4,S7). Burial: Daly Cemetery, Shade Twp, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.(S7).

Born in 1750 in Germany.(S4). She married Israel BURKETT [F968] in 1770. She died in Pennsylvania.(S4).
