Thomas BURTCH

HUSBAND:
[F2120]. Thomas BURTCH (BIRCH, (BURCH-S3).
Born (about 1615-S?). Christened 15 MAY 1617 in Topsham, Devon, England. (S3). He was the son of Richarde BURCHE [F4240] and Johan BALLYMANT [F4241]. He married probably 1635-1640, according to the birth of his children, but whether in England or Massachusetts in unknown. He settled at Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was recorded there in 1649, though it is felt that he was there earlier. Wrote his will in 1654. He died 8 MAY 1657 in Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. (Dorchester was later incorporated into the city of Boston).

Joseph BIRCH. Born (about 1637-S5) (about 1642-3-S6). He lived at Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He had six children.
[F1060]. Jonathan BURCH (BIRCH)(BURTCH). Born about 1639 (1645-S6). Born in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
Jeremiah BURCH. Born (about 1645-1650-S5)(14 JUL 1649 in Stratford, Fairfield County, CT-S?)[He was probably born at Dorchester. RAM]. He was underage in 1654 when his father wrote his will. He was of Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Jeremiah is the first of the Burch family to appear in Stonington-before 1670. He had a land grant east of the village of Clarke's Falls. [He had children born in Stonington: Thomas born May 28, 1671; twins Joseph and Jeremiah born July 20, 1673.]He died about 1716. [He is also sometimes said to be the father of Jonathan BURCH [F530] instead of his brother Jonathan above].
Lewis BIRCH. Born about 1643. (1647-S6) in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He was mentioned by his brother Joseph in 1665.
Thomas BIRCH. Born about 1641 (1649-S6). He may have married Elizabeth and had several children. He resided at Bristol, Rhode Island. He died in 1722.
Mary (Marie) BIRCH. Born about 1647 (1651-S6). She married Thomas EDWARDS on 10 MAR 1670-1 at Dorchester. (S7). They were later at Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.
Elizabeth BURCH was born about 1653 of Dorcester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. She died about 1653.
