Humphrey de BOHUN
HUSBAND (2):
Humphrey de BOHUN. Constable of England.
He married Margaret of Huntingdon in 1175. He died in 1182.
WIFE:
Margaret of Huntingdon. Countess of Hereford. Dutchess of Brittany.
Born about 1145; daughter of Henry of Scotland, Earl of Huntingdon and Northumberland and Adelaide (Ada) de WARREN (WARENNE). She was sister of the kings Malcom IV and William I of Scotland.
She married (1) CONAN IV, La Petit, Duke of Brittany. He died 20 FEB 1171. She possibly acted as regent for their daughter Constance who was underage.
She married (2) Humphrey de BOHUN in 1175.
She died in 1201 and was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Haunts., England.
CHILDREN of Humphrey de BOHUN and Margaret of Huntingdon: :
- Henry de BOHUN. He was created First Earl of Hereford. He married Maud de MANDEVILLE. He died 1 JUN 1220 while on Crusade to the Holy Land; and was buried at Llanthony Priory, Gloucester, England.
2. Maud de BOHUN. She married Richard de OILLY.
HUSBAND (1):
CONAN IV, La Petit, Duke of Brittany. Earl of Richmond.
Son of Alan, The Black, First Earl of Richmond, and Bertha of Brittany.
He acceded in 1156. Deposed in 1166.
He died 20 FEB 1171.
CHILDREN of CONAN IV and Margaret of HUNTINGDON:
- Constance of Brittany. Born about 1161. She married (1) Geoffrey II PLANTAGENET. She married (2) Ranulph de BLUNDEVILLE. She married (3) Guy de THOUARS. She died 7 SEP 1201 at Nantes, Brittany.
