Born (1640-S?)(1645-S?)(1643-S6)(6 FEB 1649-S? Others have said that it was his brother James that was born on this date) at Southhold, Long Island or Suffolk County (S6), New York; son of Thomas BENEDICT [F2128] and Mary BRIDGUM [F2129]. (S6).
He married Phoebe GREGORY [F1065] on 11 NOV 1670 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. They lived at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
He was a Selectman in Norwalk in 1689, from 1692 to 1694, and in 1699.
He succeeded his father as Deacon in the Church.
He died 11 NOV 1729 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Born (about 1649-1650-?)(about 1654-S20) at (New Haven, New Haven County-S6)(Norwalk, Fairfield County), Connecticut; daughter of John GREGORY [F2130] and Sarah ST. JOHN [F2131]. She married John BENEDICT [F1064] on 11 NOV (1670-S7)(1676-S?) at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. They lived at Norwalk, Connecticut. She died (about 1689-S7)(about 1747)(about 1749)(about 1750) at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Sarah BENEDICT. Born 2 SEP 1673 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Phebe BENEDICT. Born 21 SEP 1674 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
John/Jonathan BENEDICT. Born 3 MAR 1676, probably at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married (1) before 1705 to Anna St. JOHN, daughter of Mark ST. JOHN. He married (2) Mary (HAITE?). He was a Deacon. He was a Sergeant. He died 16 JAN 1766 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut, age 90 years.
Benjamin BENEDICT. Born in 1678 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He resided at Ridgebury. He was a Deacon. He married Mary (perhaps PLATT). He died 3 JUL 1773 at Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Joseph BENEDICT. Born probably at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married (1) Anna (Anne). She died 9 DEC 1716 at Ridgefield. He married (2) 21 MAR 1720-1721 to Mary GROOM, widow of Samuel PITMAN of Stratford. He joined the New Milford Church in 1739. His will was proved 4 AUG 1755.
[F532]. James BENEDICT. [see PC M2]Born 15 JAN 1684-1685-1686, probably at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married Sarah Hyatt [F533], daughter of Tomas Hyatt and Mary St. John, on 7 APR 1709 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He died 25 NOV 1762 at Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Mary (Mercy) BENEDICT. Born about 1672, probably at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Thomas BENEDICT. Born in 1682 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married in 1705 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut Millicent HYATT, daughter of Thomas HYATT and Mary ST. JOHN. His will was written 20 MAY 1763. He died between MAY and JUL in 1763 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. His will was proved 5 JUL 1763.
