George BENEDICT

HUSBAND:
[F8512]. George BENEDICT. (In England the name was often spelled Benedicke).
Born 1542-1545 at Saxlingham Nethergate, Norfolk, England; son of George BENEDICT [F17024] and Jane HOLES [F17025].
He married Tomazine GOCHE [F8513] 7 Aug 1575 at Tasburgh, Norfolk, England. He was a husbandman.
He died about 1583, as his will was proved 16 Sep 1583-84 at Saxlingham Nethergate, Norfolk, England. In his will he names daughters Jane, Joan and Judith as all unmarried and under 21. In his will he also names his son William.

WIFE:
[F8513]. Tomazine (Thomasine) GOCHE.
Born ab out 1545 in England. She married George BENEDICT [F8512] on 7 AUG 1575 at Tasburgh (Tasborough), Norfolk, England. In William Benedict's (Son of George and Jane) will, 1 Sep 1614, she was called "my brother George's nowe wife", so she died after 1 SEP 1614.

CHILDREN of George BENEDICT [F8512] and Tomazine GOCHE [F8513]:

Jane BENEDICT. Born (after 1575)(about 1577-S7) at Saxlingham Nethergate, Norfolk, England. She was unmarried and under 21 on the date of her father's will, 16 SEP (20 DEC-S?) 1583.
Judith BENEDICT. Born (after 1578)(about 1580-S7) at Saxlingham Netergate, Norfolk, England. She was named in her father's will in 1583, but she was not named in grandmother's will, 1578; so, she was probably born after Jun 1578. She was unmarried and under 21 on the date of her father's will, 16 SEP (20 DEC-S?) 1583.
[F4256]. William BENEDICT. Born about 1578 at Saxlingham Nethergate, Norfolk, England. He was not named in his grandfather's will, 1575, but he was named in his grandmother's will in 1578, and in his father's will, 1583. He married Elizabeth [F4257]. This could have been anytime between about 1600 and 1616. They are said to be the parents of Thomas BENEDICT [F2128]. Elizabeth married (2) John BRIDGUM [F4258]. William died about 1618.
Joan BENEDICT. Born after 1575 at Saxlingham Nethergate, Norfolk, England. She was unmarried and under 21 on the date of her father's will, 16 SEP (20 DEC-S?) 1583.
Anne BENEDICT. Born about 1588. She died in 1657 in Cambridge, England.
