Born about 1630 in England; son of John AYER [F15036] and Hannah EVERED/WEBB [F15037].
. He lived in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts as early as 1646. He bought a house and a lot there in 1648. He married 1 APR 1656 to Elizabeth HUTCHINS [F7519] probably in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. He died 9 NOV 1686 at Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.
WIFE:
[F7519]. Elizabeth HUTCHINS.
Born about 1636 in England; daughter of John HUTCHINS [F15038] and Frances (ALCOCK ?) [F15039]. She married Thomas AYER [F7518] on 1 APR 1656. She died in 1710.
CHILDREN of Thomas AYER [F7518] and Elizabeth HUTCHINS [F7519]:
- John AYER. Born 12 MAY 1657 in Newbury, Massachusetts. He married 13 SEP 1683 to Hannah TRAVERS of Boston. He lived in Haverhill, Massachusetts until 1695, when he moved to Stonington, Connecticut, where he was living in 1722.
- [F3759]. Elizabeth AYER. Born 23 DEC 1659 at Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. She married Samuel WATTS [F3758] on 28 OCT 1684. She died 26 OCT 1695 at Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.
- Mary AYER. Born 22 MAR 1660-1 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She married before 1725 to Samuel COLCORD of Kingstown, New Hampshire. She was of Kingstown, his widow, in 1737.
- Love AYER. Born 15 APR 1663 at Haverhill, Massachusetts. She married 2 APR 1679 in Haverhill to Joseph KINGSBURY.
- A son, and a twin. Born 16 JAN 1664-5 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He died 20 JAN 1664-5.

- Thomas AYER. Born 9 JUN 1666 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He lived in Haverhill. He married (1) 12 JUN 1694 to Ruth WILFORD. They had 5 children. She and her daughter Ruth were killed by the Indians in the massacre of 29 AUG 1708, age 36. He married (2) Dorothy MARTIN, widow of Henry BLAISDELL, on 7 MAR 1709-10 in Amesbury. They had at least one child. They were both living in 1714.
- Samuel AYER. Born 11 JUL 1671. He died 15 JUL 1672.
